HeavyHardMetalmania entrevistou uma banda jovem mas com uma afirmação e identidade guerreira, sabem de onde vêm, conhecem muito bem o terreno que pisam e claramente os objectivos futuros estão bem delineados. Abaixo pode ser lida uma entrevista sem preconceito nem censura e na qual se põe a descoberto todos os ideais defendidos pela combativa Banda Brasileira de Black Metal "BRUTAL MORTICÍNIO"...! Nuno Ribeiro - Ave, Apresentem a profana existência da Horda “Brutal Morticínio” aos leitores do HeavyHardMetalmania, quem são, o que fazem na banda e quais as ideologias políticas, económicas e sociais que defendem!
Brutal Morticínio – Saudações à todos os leitores do HeavyHardMetalmania, a horda é formada por mim Tormento guitarra/ vocal e pela Mielikki no baixo. Estamos atualmente realizando shows e gravando o nosso álbum com bateristas convidados.

Do ponto de vista político e ideológico, defendemos o ressurgimento do orgulho latino americano, a reedição de nossa cultura étnica e cultural a integração dos povos descendentes de indígenas dispersos pelo continente e uma alternativa baseada nas comunidades tribais ancestrais para o capitalismo. Os “ conquistadores” cristãos/brancos/europeus tentaram homogeneizar as culturas aqui presentes, dos povos nativos e posteriormente dos escravos trazidos para cá. Buscando submeter qualquer diversidade ao cristianismo e apagar resquícios de outros costumes, culturas e crenças, utilizando-se desta religião e da sua instituição política/social/ “cultural” como forma de controle dos povos e da região.

Somos favoráveis ao cacique mexicano Guaicaípuro Cuatemoc, quando reivindica a dívida de sangue e riqueza que nos foi levado, no tempo histórico das invasões “colonização”. Defendemos a execução imediata desta dívida, assim como a expulsão/justiçamento dos defensores dos interesses dos brancos capitalistas de nosso continente. Somos favoráveis a integração étnica de todos os povos que por aqui vivem e se estabeleceram, somos contrários a qualquer tipo de discriminação étnica, entretanto defendemos que os povos que escolheram viver nas terras indígenas devem seguir as tradições comunitárias e de organização próprias de nosso continente. Acreditamos que o cristianismo é um atentado cultural e deve ser imediatamente banido. Ficando na lembrança apenas para recordar o terror e a miséria que nos trouxe, para que nada parecido se repita na história. Somos contrários a qualquer forma de dominação independentemente das fronteiras, entretanto é importante reascender o orgulho latino americano, pois o continete carrega uma carga negativa de estereótipos que não são condizentes com a verdadeira diversidade, riqueza de nossos povos.

Obviamente defendemos também a integração das etnias em geral, como por exemplo aqui no Brasil temos um diversidade imensa de imigrantes ( Além dos africano e portugueses, descendentes de alemães, italianos, japoneses, coreanos, austríacos...), tendo em algumas regiões do país maior ou menor concentração de alguns povos. Temos a compreensão do ser humano como mais um animal parte da natureza. Repudiamos qualquer forma de discriminação étnica. Porém lembramos que neste território já viviam milhares de populações nativas diversas que foram exterminadas no processo de colonização e tomada de terras. Aos nativos que aqui viviam foram impostos costumes e cultura que eles não se identificavam. Quando o oposto deveria ter sido feito.

Esta é grande motivação para nós, relembrar esta resistência histórica latino americana, fazemos as letras em memória aqueles que tombaram frente a esta cultura de hipocrisia/ganância, que perdura até hoje, de modo que não se percam. Mas também buscando reascender um sentimento em relação a isso com questões presentes ainda hoje, tentando incentivar a tomada de consciência do mundo que vivemos, e a influência que presenciamos ainda hoje, devido a todo morticínio causado por está cultura dogmática.

NR - BRUTAL MORTICÍNIO inicia em 2006 a devastação e o nome foi escolhido com base nas mortes causadas pelos invasores cristãos na América no tempo histórico conhecido como “descobrimentos – Grandes Navegações”, bem como toda sua imposição de crença e cultura!

Não achas que ainda hoje (embora o crime seja de colarinho branco) o mundo funciona dessa forma? E não falo só de cristianismo… também de outras crenças e que os grandes grupos económicos e Países Capitalistas defecam no pobre trabalhador “… Exploração, hipocrisia e lucro / O sangue de muitos, para o poder de poucos”….

BM – Com Certeza concordamos com você, também acreditamos que ainda hoje há uma imposição ou recolonização por parte dos países mais ricos sob os mais pobres. É interessante pensarmos quantas ONG´s internacionais estão em meio a floresta amazônica, é lógico que não estão nenhum pouco interessadas no bem estar das comunidades nativas e muito menos na preservação do meio ambiente. Estão ligadas na maioria das vezes a grandes indústrias farmacêuticas ou a qualquer outra coisa que seja possível patentear a partir das riquezas ainda inexploradas da floresta. O podre homem branco continua a sua sanha atrás de lucros fáceis retirando o máximo possível das riquezas nativas, para darmos apenas o exemplo da Amazônia e é claro que ocorre em muitas outras partes do mundo. Os “empresários” e certos “governantes do Brasil compactuam com este tipo de usurpação. O homem branco cristão hoje de paletó e gravata não faz as coisas diretamente em nome de seu deus branco e punitivo, mas sim por conta do receituário neoliberal e do seu modo de vida consumista/individualista. É triste vermos bangers que se comportam de tal maneira frente as questões mais elementares da vida em sociedade, reproduzindo os ditames da moralista ordem cristã e capitalista. Rechaçar este mundo imposto por este senhores dos olhos azuis é questão de sobrevivência. Compreendamos o seguinte estes mesmos senhores tentam nos confundir com falsas idéias nacionalistas/racistas/xenófobas, isto é, esta é a sua tentativa deseperada de colocar as nossas diferenças idiomáticas ou culturais para distrair de sua completa incompetência na direção dos rumos de nossas sociedades.

NR – A fome que abate os povos / A guerra que alimenta os corvos / Celebre o supremo mal! / Acenda as velas negras, implore ante ao império! / Bem-vindo ao juízo final

Marcha de chumbo e sangue, trilhada pela ganância / Maquiada como um comercial / Na macabra matemática dos lucros, a lógica é irracional

A grave crise económica global que estamos a viver neste momento relembra os anos antecedentes à segunda guerra mundial! Numa perspectiva pessoal “trocava” o Juízo final pela terceira guerra mundial!

Esta crise foi provocada pela cobiça de poucos “capitalistas” com a sua “macabra ganância” e quem está a pagar é o povo trabalhador “o pobre”! Não é esta a lógica irracional!!?

BM – No sistema capitalista as crises são cíclicas e continurão a ocorrer enquanto vigorar este sistema, que do ponto de vista social, ecológico é insustentável. Por que exclui e joga na barbárie cada vez mais seres humanos alterando cada dia mais o meio ambiente. Nada mais irracional do que o capitalismo, nesse ritmo de acúmulo cavamos a nossa própria sepultura. Se todo o mundo consumisse o mesmo que os iluminados cidadãos estadunienses ou de alguns dos países mais “desenvolvidos” da europa, já faltariam recursos naturais no planeta.

Concordamos com você, nada mais atual do que a exploração hipócrita das grandes empresas capitalistas! Estas financiam o sofrimento de milhares de pessoas em troca de seu lucro. Sabemos que a montadora alemã Volksvagen, por exemplo, auxiliou direta e indiretamente a ditadura militar no Brasil e também na Argentina. Indiretamente a Coca-cola investe nos grupos paramilitares/neonazistas colombianos. O governo dos EUA (Europa ultramarinha) interviu em todos os países da América latina em nome da “liberdade” “democracia” e da cristandade. Isso apenas para falarmos de América latina, bem como o que nós populares sabemos. É lógico que a coisa não para por aí, a sujeira é ainda bem pior. Não temos a ideologia ilusória de uma reforma do capitalismo ou de uma coexistência pacífica com o cristianismo, a nossa idéia intransigente é a sua total aniquilação. Não é uma questão apenas de princípio, mas de auto preservação, pois a este dado ritmo estaremos extintos assim como o planeta em pouco tempo. Defendemos o justiçamento histórico e revolta geral contra a demência que está estabelecida na camada dirigente de nossas sociedades.

É interessante pensar na atual crise econômica onde países como o Brasil ou a Índia que sempre permaneceram na periferia do sitema capitalista internacional, hoje são chamados para saudar uma dívida contraída por estes mesmos mercadores da morte dos povos. Sinceramente, concordo com você mais uma vez, ao invés do governo brasileiro, por exemplo, investir na Europa onde sempre fomos tratados como um gênero humano de segunda categoria (trantando do que se refere a pré-conceitos, estereótipos, ou mesmo atualmente xenofobia mal tratamento em aeroportos..), deveria sim investir em resolver o grave problema social e ambiental causado pelos estúpidos cristãos, apesar de ser apenas um paleativo em nossa opinião, seria ainda mais lógico.

Tormento

NR - Sabemos que o Brasil conhece hoje um impulsionamento económico grande motivado pelo campeonato do mundo de futebol em 2014 e pelos jogos olímpicos de 2016!

Só por mera curiosidade, Portugal organizou o campeonato da europa de 2004, hoje temos estádios vazios que não servem para nada nem a ninguém, são autênticos “elefantes brancos” que acumulam prejuízos!

O que achas da ideia de um País organizar eventos desta magnitude, ter milhões a viver em favelas, onde grassa a corrupção e que ao mesmo tempo destrói o pulmão do mundo “Amazónia”?

BM - Nos últimos cinco ou sete anos o país progrediu economicamente apesar de todos problemas, é um pouco anterior aos jogos olímpicos e copa do mundo. Nossa educação aos poucos está melhorando, muita gente conseguindo cursar faculdade o que antes era muito difícil em nosso país . Mas apesar de alguns poucos avanços, a corrupção brasileira é infelizmente internacionalmente conhecida. Mas temos de fazer algumas ressalvas importantes. Entre as tribos nativas brasileiras vigorava o perfeito equilibrio social, ou seja havia a perfeita divisão entre todos os membros da tribo da caça, dos expolios de guerra ou da miséria que se abatesse sobre eles. Os líderes tribais não tinham a efetiva capacidade de interferir de maneira considerável sobre os demais habitantes da tribo. A corrupção é um traço vergonhoso de nosso passado colonial. A corrupção caminha em conjunto com a desigualdade. Não é coicidência que as nações menos corruptas tenham também menor índice de desigualdade social.

É interessante pensarmos na destruição amazônica uma vez que grande parte da madeira extraída de maneira ilegal é exportada, isto é junto com a floresta vão-se os lucros da venda da mesma. Os destruidores da maior reserva ambiental do planeta estão a serviço do capital internacional, que se preocupa muito pouco com o meio ambiente. O número de ONGs espalhadas pela floresta é assustador, como comentei anteriormente, e maioria delas fala inglês e nem um pouco de português. O maior vacilo brasileiro no meu ponto de vista é fazer vista grossa a retirada destes recursos de maneira lenta mas constante.

O governo dos países da América latina tem um grande histórico de erros, este é apenas mais um deles, normalmente eles são induzidos ao erro por conta das pressões das grandes corporações transnacionais que lucram com eles. O Desvio de verbas é generalizado para a construção dos estádios e tudo mais que cerca o evento. É a velha política do pão e circo. Acredito que seja um grande erro financiar este tipo de evento, entretanto a Europa desperdiça maior soma de dinheiro em muitas coisas inúteis e altamente destrutiva. O que quero não é justificar, entretanto quando há um grande volume de riqueza envolvido nos cofres brancos cristãs também nos é sentido, pois esta mesma quantia nos foi retirada no perído das invasões cristãs.

NR – Bandas de Black Metal surgem geralmente com o intuito de pregar uma fé ou ideias adjacentes a ela/s. Brutal Morticínio define-se “e bem na minha opinião” como “Old School Black Metal” e com influências de bandas como Sarcófago, Hellhammer e Darkthrone.

Qual é a reacção dos vossos fãs? Ser Black Metaller no Brasil, País marcantemente cristianizado deve ter as suas dificuldades “feedback”!? Em vossa opinião dentro do estilo Black Metal é mais importante a música ou a mensagem presente na letra?

BM – Optamos desde o início em fazermos algo voltado para a temática Black Metal e é algo também bastante comum aqui em nossa região nos expresarmos em nossas letras em português. A nossa sonoridade não foi algo completamente planejado, direcionamos de certo modo, mas foi algo natural o música proporiamente dita e as letras serem todoas compostas em português. Por ser a nossa lingua materna temos uma maior facilidade em nos expressarmos de maneira mais clara neste idioma. Acredito no que diz respeito as letras e músicas as coisas estão mescladas, pois na maioria das vezes o som acaba refletindo o exato sentimento em que as bandas se posicionam. Realmente acredito que haja um complemento nisso, pois tanto é importante a parte sonora, ou seja que tipo de sentimento a horda está se direcionando com o seu conteúdo lírico,ou seja a mensagem, o fundamento sobre o qual a banda foi formada. Infelizmente nos coube o papel de viver em uma sociedade marcadamente cristianizada como você mesmo comentou, a nossa luta está justamente em explorar as suas contradições, seus dogmas que servem somente aos nossos carrascos e construirmos a destruição deste tipo de organização hipócrita que desde forjada serve a uma elite. Apesar de atualmente haver muitos guerreiros e guerreiras identificados com a arte obscura do black metal no Brasil, ainda somos poucos que se posicionam claramente contra a fé cristã e o sistema capitalista que é digamos assim o seu braço armado.

NR – Proponho agora um desafio, explicar detalhadamente a mensagem adjacente em cada tema do álbum “Despertar Dos Chacais...O Outono Dos Povos”

BM:

1. A Escuridão Me Conforta- E uma música dedicada a todas as almas obscuras, todos aqueles que não se sentem parte desse mundo de canalhas egoístas movidos pelo dinheiro e poder. Para todos aqueles que sentem a sua fúria amordaçada, mas que estão prontos para a qualquer momento explodir em ódio. É por isso que a música tem nuances de agressividade, rapidez e partes mais gélidas e melancólicas. Como esta é uma música em tom e com uma cadência parecida com o restante do álbum decidimos que ela seria a melhor representação da síntese do mesmo, por isso foi escolhida para abrir o álbum .

2. Banho de Sangue- A música foi escrita por Mielikki e tem uma cara mais trash metal, foi um de nossos primeiros sons também. Surgiu de maneira bem espontânea, trata de uma maneira abrangente, sobre as manipulações e ao jogo em que estamos submetidos frente aos grandes interesses dos grupos ligados a elite econômica, bem como grupos religiosos. Em nossa história são inúmeros os banhos de sangue em nome do progresso e da fé e o mais insólito é que isso continua acontecendo, resta- nos denunciar estes nefastos seres.

3. A Eterna Marcha da Devastação- Esta música trata de um tema que é a escravidão da América e todo o sofrimento a que foram submetidos as populações que ficaram a mercê dos brancos cristãos de nosso continente. O paradoxo disso, no meu ponto de vista é que hoje as pessoas que sofrem os mais terríveis preconceitos, negros, índios, latino americanos, etc, são em realidade os maiores credores deste mundo, isto é, toda a riqueza acumulada pelas mais centrais economias do mundo foi feita sob o suor e o sngue destas pessoas. O que a música propõe é bem claro, que se pague essa conta a qualquer preço e imediatamente.

4. Estúpido e Podre Homem Branco Cristão- Precede a própria criação da horda. Foi composta antes mesmo da criação e do nome Brutal Morticínio. Poderíamos dizer que esta música é a essência da banda. A letra é muito mais poética do que necessariamente engajada é baseada no discurso do cacique Guaicaípuro Cuatemoc. Acredito que ela exponha os nossos sentimentos e nossos ideais de uma forma bem clara e direta. Percebi durante estes anos após o lançamento da música, os cristãos, facistas e afins passaram a nos detestar ainda mais, o que foi muito gratificante para nós, pois até mesmo estes seres tolos conseguiram compreender o significado da letra e por conseguinte os ideias da banda. Quando nos referimos ao podre homem- branco- cristão, não estamos apenas criticando a isntituição católica e ao cristianismo em geral. Estamos também depreciando o que foi imposto como padrão, o ideal/modelo da sociedade ocidental.

5. Embarcações da Morte- Trata- se de uma faixa instrumental, onde tentamos reproduzir toda a angústia e agonia daqueles que vieram para o nosso continente de forma involuntária. Os tumbeiros ou navios negreiros foram a forma mais cruel da colonização de nosso país e continente, devemos ter em nosso gens a revolta. A travessia do Atlântico feita nestes infernos flutuantes foi sem dúvida o maior crime cometido pelos refinados senhores brancos em nome do lucro.

6. E a Morte Triunfa...- Também é uma música bastante direta, tentamos reletir e expor todas as contradições que nos foram impostas. Toda a irracionalidade de um sistema que claramente manter no poder uma corja de incompetentes/individualistas que estão de costas para as populações nativas e para o convívio com o ambiente. Somos conduzidos apaticamente para uma vida de fardo e pesar, sem sequer refletir sobre a amplitude disso. Enquanto que um ilustre cidadão no centro dessa economia podre e decadente vive uma vida de luxo, como se sua riqueza não fosse proveniente do sangue e trabalho de centenas ou milhares de pessoas, como nós da periferia do mundo.

7. Batalhão de Extermínio- Trata-se de nosso ponto de vista sobre a recolonização planejada pelos yankees para o nosso continte. A Área Livre dos gueros estaria restrita às suas mercadorias, isto é, seria um passe livre para a barbárie em nosso continte seria o batalhão de extermínio de nosso ambiente e de nossa cultura. Pode parecer teoria da conspiração, mas o imperialismo estadosunidense tenta a todo o custo transformar a América numa grande Porto Rico, basta ver as experiências no Paraguai e na Colômbia. Um dado interessante para reforçar isso é de que a excessão do Canadá, os yankees interviram em todos os países de nosso continente, por isso resistir ao pelotão da morte que vem sob o nome pomposo de Área livre é tão importante.

8. A Longa Noite dos Corvos (Civilização Cristã)- Nesta música tantamos representar o que restou de civilização e de barbárie em nossa América. A longa noite dos corvos que esperam pacientemente que todos morram e apodreçam para viver de nossas carcaças. É o nosso presente e os corvos estão dentro das Igrejas, bem como em todos os escalões de representação do Estado.

NR - BRUTAL MORTICÍNIO encontra-se neste momento a preparar o segundo trabalho intitulado “Obsessores Espíritos das Florestas Austrais” que sairá em Novembro.

Nesta evocação aos “Obsessores Espíritos das Florestas Austrais” podem ser encontrados significados diversos, embora apontem todos no mesmo sentido de uma perseguição diabólica, uma Importunação perseverante, uma preocupação contínua e uma ideia fixa no combate à hipocrisia do “rebanho”!

O que podemos esperar?

BM - Este álbum terá uma sonoridade mais melancólica, deve ser um pouco mais agressivo e ao mesmo tempo mais gélido quando comparado ao “Despertar dos Chacais... Outono dos Povos...”. Isto reflete as nossas influências mais atuais de bandas de depressive black metal e também por ter uma identidade sonora muito ligada ao tema de nossas letras mais recentes.

NR - Qual/s o tema/s fulcral/s do mesmo?

BM - O álbum, inspirado na destruição do mundo ameríndio, dos focos de resistência que desde muito assombra o continente. Porém sistematicamente foi e é amortecida na história. A elaboração deste segundo álbum nas letras teve uma pesquisa um pouco maior em relação a mitologia dos povos nativos da America Latina. Poderíamos falar somente das tribos que habitaram o Brasil meridional, entretanto resolvemos falar de todos estes povos pois acreditamos na identidade de uma América latina unida e forte e partilhando dos pontos em comum de nossa cultura.

NR - Artwork?

BM - Tentamos representar com a imagem da capa a idéia da melancolia de nossas florestas austrais, que por sinal estão cada vez menos densas. A foto que integrará a mesma foi tirada por nós mesmos, membros da banda, entretanto terá outros elementos que serão destacados pelo artista gráfico. A arte final ficará a cargo de nosso amigo André Rodrigues que também faz a participação especial na bateria da banda em nossas celebrações, além de ser um dos bateristas que está realizando algumas faixas do novo álbum.

NR - Alguma novidade em primeira mão?

BM- Na gravação de nosso álbum tivemos alguns contratempos, pois a banda teve alterada a sua formação. Tivemos de readequar algumas músicas ao novo/ velho estilo da banda novamente como um trio, novos arranjos para que saia verdadeiro de fato, mas também que refletisse os reais sentimentos da horda. Tudo requer tempo, mas acreditamos que conseguiremos lançar dentro de nosso prazo planejado.

Houve a oportunidade de um relançamento do álbum “Despertar dos chacais... O outono dos povos” prensado e com duas música inéditas de “bônus”, ainda não posso garantir 100% mas é muito provável que saia este relançamento muito breve ou paralelamente ao novo álbum.

HHM – Sabendo que vão estar em vários concertos brevemente e para quem não conhece o que pode esperar um fã que se desloca para ver Brutal Morticínio a actuar ao vivo?

BM – Em nossas apresentações procuramos passar toda a nossa agressividade, fúria e a melancolia por um mundo tão injusto, hipócrita controlado pelas víboras cristãs e capitalistas. Quem assistir ao show pode esperar com certeza muita sinceridade no que fazemos, no que cantamos e tocamos absolutamente somente o que nos é verdadeiro. O público pode ter certeza de que não assistirá um teatro, pois não há interpretações em nossa palco, apenas assistirá os urros desesperados de alguém que sente falta de um passado que não conheceu de ritos que há muito foram esquecidos, mas que sobrevive em nossa resistência.

NR – Uma última oportunidade para pregar a palavra… Têm liberdade para expandir nestas linhas tudo o que lhes vai na “alma”!

BM – Primeiramente gostaria de agradecer em nome da Brutal Morticínio a todos do Heavy Hard Metal Mania, especialmente ao Nuno pela oportunidade oferecida à horda. Esperamos termos esclarecido ao máximo os nossos pontos de vista sobre a nossa negra arte.

Quando tratamos de uma questão delicada como a afirmação da América Latina, não significa que lutamos contra qualquer forma de imposição, dominação de um povo sobre outro somente aqui, mas sim em qualquer parte do mundo! A afirmação da América Latina, no caso, mas de qualquer cultura marginalizada, é necessária para destruição das opiniões forjada pelas elites de ontem e hoje. Estas incoerências sempre acabam por ser disseminadas pelo senso comum. Tomamos para nós também a responsabilidade histórica, em não se calar, muito menos se curvar e sim questionar, destruir a idéia de que os nativos não eram numerosos, de que não houve resistência. Idéias há muito disseminadas pela história dos heróis/positivista e apagadas pela chamada história revisionista ou nova história cultural.

Nós da Brutal Morticínio, acreditamos que o metal, principalmente o metal extremo é transgressor por natureza (desde seus antepassados como blues e o rock). E desta forma deve sim continuar transgredindo, ultrapassando fronteiras, criticando dogmas não somente religiosos, mas culturais e sociais. Além de tratar de temas esquecidos, seja pela sociedade, seja por alguns headbangers!

Sempre é gratificante responder/conversar com zines/blogs/sites que realmente respeitam o cenário underground, como é aqui o caso. Que realmente procuram se informar e por conseguinte retirar ao máximo a essência e o que a horda representa e se propõe a fazer. Também desejamos força a todos os colaboradores do HHM, bem como desejar que continuem neste caminho de qualidade e honra. O HHM com certeza é para todos os bangers não somente de Portugal e da Europa!

NR - Ave, I would like you to introduce the profane existence of the Horde Brutal Morticínio to the readers of HeavyHardMetalmania, who you are, what you do in the band and which political, economical and social ideologies you stand for

BM - Greetings to all of you, readers of HeavyHardMetalmania. The horde's lineup is composed by me (Tormento - Guitars and Vocals) and Mielikki on the Bass Guitar. We are currently playing concerts and recording our album with invited drummers.

From the political and ideological points of view, we stand for the resurgence of the Latin American pride, the revival of our ethnic culture and the integration of the peoples that descend from the indigenous individuals scattered over the continent and an alternative to Capitalism based on the ancient tribal communities. The Christian/white/European "conquerors" tried to homogenize the cultures already settled here, the natives and later the slaves brought to this place. They tried to submit any kind of diversity to Christianity and erase traces of other customs, cultures and beliefs, making use of this religion and its political/social/"cultural" institution as a mean of control of the peoples of the region.

We support Mexican chief Guaicaípuro Cuatemoc when he claims the debt of blood and wealth which was taken from us during the historical period of invasions known as "colonization". We defend the immediate requital of the debt, as well as the expulsion/judgment of the defenders of the interests of the white capitalists of our continent. We stand for the ethnical integration of all the peoples that live here or have settled; we're against any kind of ethnical discrimination; however we defend that the peoples who chose to live in the native lands must follow the community traditions and the organizational characteristics of our continent. We believe that Christianity is a cultural aggression and must be immediately banned, staying in memory only to remind us of the terrors and misery it has brought to us, so that nothing similar repeats in history. We are contrary to any form of domination, regardless of the boundaries. It is important to revive the Latin American pride, because the continent bears a negative charge of stereotypes which are not consistent with the true diversity and wealth of our peoples.

Obviously, we also stand for the integration of the ethnic groups in general. As an example, here in Brazil we have a huge diversity of immigrants (besides the Africans and the Portuguese, also descendants of Germans, Italians, Japanese, Korean, Austrian, etc.), having more or less concentration of certain ethnic groups depending on the region of the country. We have the understanding that the human being is another animal part of the nature. We repudiate any kind of ethnic discrimination. However we know that in this territory there were thousands of native populations who were killed in the process of colonization and taking of the lands. To the natives settled here were imposed customs and culture which they were not familiar with, when the opposite should have been done, in the sense of cultural maintenance of what already existed here.

This is our greatest motivation, to remember this historical Latin American resistance; we write the lyrics in memory of those who fell in front of this culture of hypocrisy and greed, which persists until nowadays, so as not to forget them. We also want to rekindle the feeling related to this with matters still present today, trying to encourage a sense of awareness towards the world we live in, the influence we still witness today, due to all the slaughter caused by this dogmatic culture.

NR - Brutal Morticínio started in 2006 with the devastation and the name was chosen based on the deaths caused by the Christian invaders in America during the historical period called "Discoveries - Great Navigations", as well all their imposition of culture and beliefs!

Don't you think that even today (although the crime is a white-collar one) the world works like this? And I'm not talking only about Christianity... Also of other beliefs and that the big economical groups and Capitalist countries defecate on the poor worker. "Exploitation, hypocrisy and profit - The blood of many for the power of few".

BM - We certainly agree with you. We also believe that even today there is an attempt of imposition or recolonization by the richer countries over the poor ones. It's interesting to realize how many NGO's are operating in the Amazon Rainforest, it is very clear that they are not interested in the welfare of the native communities and even less in the preservation of the environment. They are usually linked to Pharmaceutical companies or to anything which can be trademarked out of the resources still unexplored of the forest. The rotten white man continues with his charge for easy profits taking as much as possible from the native riches. And this is only the Amazon Rainforest example; of course it happens in other parts of the globe. The "managers" and certain "governors" pact with this kind of usurpation. The white Christian man (today wearing suits and ties) doesn't do things on behalf of his white and punitive god, but certainly because of the neoliberal revenues and his individualist/consumer way of life. It's sad to see Headbangers who behave like this towards the most elementary matters of life in society, reproducing the dictates of the moralist and capitalist Christian order. Refusing this world imposed by theses blue-eyed-seniors is a question of survival. Let's understand the following: these same old guys try to confuse us with false nationalist/racist/xenophobic ideas, that is, this is their desperate attempt to take advantage of our idiomatic or cultural differences to get us distracted from their utter incompetence in the management of the directions of our societies.

NR - "The hunger which strikes the peoples / The war which feeds the ravens / Celebrate the supreme evil! / Light the black candles, beg upon the empire! / Welcome to the final judgment / March of lead and blood, trodden by greed / Disguised as a commercial / In the foul math of profits, the logic is irrational"

The grave economical crisis we're facing nowadays reminds me of the years prior to the World War II! From a personal perspective I would exchange the "Final judgment" for the 3rd World War!

This crisis was caused by the greed of a few "capitalists" with their "macabre avarice" and who is paying for this is the working people, "the poor". Isn't it the irrational logic!!?

BM - In Capitalism the crises are cyclic and will continue to happen as long as this system endures, which makes it unsustainable from the social and ecological points of view; because it excludes and tosses into barbarity even more human beings, increasingly altering the environment day by day. There is nothing more irrational than Capitalism; in this rhythm of accumulation we're digging our own graves. If everyone consumed the same amount as the illuminate citizens from the USA or some of the most developed countries in Europe, there would already be a lack of natural resources in the planet.

We agree with you, there's nothing more current than the hypocrite exploitations by the big capitalist companies! These finance the suffering of thousands of people as an exchange for their profits. As an example, we know that the German automaker Volkswagen aided directly and indirectly the military dictatorship in Brazil and also in Argentina. Coca-Cola indirectly invests in Neo-Nazi/Paramilitary groups in Colombia. The USA government ("Europe Overseas" as I like calling it) interfered in all countries in South America on behalf of "liberty", "democracy" and Christianity. And this is only mentioning Latin America, as well as we, the people, know. Of course things don't get stuck here, the filth is even worse. We don't share the illusory ideology of reform for Capitalism or a pacific co-existence with Christianity, our peremptory ideal is their total annihilation. It isn't only a question of principles, but of self-preservation, because at this pace we will be extinct as well as the planet in little time. We defend the historical repayment and general revolt against the dementia which is established at the managing layer of our societies.

It's interesting to think about the current economic crisis where countries like Brazil and India, which have always stood in the periphery of the international capitalist system, are called forth today to pay off the debts acquired by these same death merchants of peoples. Sincerely, I agree with you once again. For instance, the Brazilian government, instead of investing in Europe, where we've always been treated as human beings of second class (concerning matters related to prejudice, stereotypes, or also the very current xenophobia - bad treatment in airports), should invest in the solving of grave social and ecological problem caused by the stupid Christians. Although it would be only a kind of palliative, it would certainly be more logical.

NR - We know that today Brazil is facing an economical burst motivated by the World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016.

Just out of curiosity, Portugal held the Eurocup back in 2004 and today we have empty stadiums which are good for nothing neither anybody. Authentic white elephants that accumulate loss of money!

What do you think about a country organizing events of such proportion, while having millions living in slums and where corruption is spread all around, at the same time destroying the Earth's lung, "Amazônia"?

BM - Despite all the problems, the country has developed economically in the last 5 or 7 years. It's a bit prior the World Cup and the Olympic Games. Our educational system is getting better slowly, with many people getting the chance to enter University, which used to be very difficult before. But despite very little progress, Brazilian corruption is unfortunately known worldwide. But we do have to point some important exceptions out. Among the native Brazilian tribes was kept the perfect social balance, in other words, there was the perfect share between the members of the tribe of what had been hunted, the war spoils or the misery which could fall above them. The tribe leaders didn't have the effective capability of interfering in a considerable manner on the life of the other members of the tribe. Corruption is a shameful trace of our colonial past. Corruption walks beside inequality. It's not a coincidence that less corrupt nations have also a lower level of social unbalance.

It's interesting to think about the destruction of the Amazon rainforest, since great part of the timber extracted is exported. This means that along with the forest also go away the profits from its commercialization. The destroyers of the biggest environmental reserve of the planet are in service for the international stock, which worries not about the environment. The number of NGO's spread all over the forest is terrifying, as I told you earlier, and their vast majority speaks English and almost nothing of Portuguese. The biggest Brazilian waver concerning this matter is to turn a blind eye regarding the extraction of these resources in a slowly but constant manner.

The governments of the Latin American countries have a great record of mistakes, and this is just another one. They're normally induced into error because of the pressures from the big transnational companies which profit with them. The misuse of funds is general for the construction of stadiums and everything else related to the event. It's the old "bread and circus politics". I believe it's a big mistake to finance this kind of event; however Europe spares much more money in many useless and destructive things. I don't want to justify anything, but when there's a huge volume of richness involved in the white Christian coffers we feel the loss too, because this same amount was taken from us in the period of the Christian invasions.

NR - Black Metal bands are usually born to preach a particular faith or ideology adjacent to them. Brutal Morticínio can be defined, and this is my very own opinion, as "Old School Black Metal" influenced by bands like Sarcófago, Hellhammer and Darkthrone.

What is the reaction of your fans like? Being a Black Metaller in a remarkably christianized country like Brazil might impose its difficulties regarding "feedback", right? In your opinion, which is more important in Black Metal: the music or the message in the lyrics?

BM - We've chosen since the beginning to do something turned to the Black Metal theme. It is also very common for us here in our region to express ourselves in Portuguese when it comes to our lyrics. Our sound wasn't something completely planned, we somehow followed some directions, but it was natural for the music itself and for the lyrics to be composed in Portuguese. Because it is our mother language, it becomes easier for us to express in a clearer manner. I believe that concerning the lyrics and songs the things are mixed up, because most of the time the sound ends up reflecting the exact feeling the band is positioned on. I do believe there is a supplement in this, because the sound part is important, it shows the kind of feeling the horde is aiming with its lyrical contents: the message, the foundations which the band was formed on. Unfortunately it was given us the role of living in a society remarkably christianized, as you mentioned above, and our fight is based on exploring its contradictions, their dogmas which are good only for our tormentors and also building the destruction of this kind of hypocrite organization that, once created, serves an elite. Despite the fact that today we have many warriors identified with the obscure art of Black Metal in Brazil, there are still few who clearly oppose themselves to the Christian faith and to the Capitalist system, which is Christianity's armed sect.

NR - I will now challenge you: explain in details the adjacent message in each theme off “Despertar Dos Chacais...O Outono Dos Povos” ("Rise of the Jackals... Autumn of the Peoples").

BM - 1) A Escuridão me Conforta (Darkness Comforts Me): This song is dedicated to all obscure souls, to all those who don't feel they belong to this world of selfish scoundrels moved by money and power. To all those who feel their hate gagged, but at the same time feel ready to burst into hatred. That's why the song has nuances of aggressiveness, speed plus melancholic and chilling parts. As this is a song which gives an overall idea about the sonority of the work; with a cadence similar to the rest of the album, we decided that it would be the best portrayal of the album's synthesis, thus being chosen as the opening track for the disc.

2) Banho de Sangue (Bloodbath): This song was written by Mielikki and has a more Thrash Metal approach. It was also one of our first compositions. It was crafted in a very spontaneous way and deals in a comprehensive manner with the manipulations and the game we're subdued to given the big interests of the groups linked to the economic elite, as well as the religious groups. Countless are the bloodbaths in our history for the sake of progress and faith. Most unusual is the fact that it continues to happen; it's our burden to denounce these nefarious beings.

3) A Eterna Marcha da Devastação (The Eternal March of Devastation): This song is about America's slavery and all suffering to which the populations that were at the mercy of the white Christians in our continent were subdued. The paradox of this, in my point of view, is that the people who suffer the most terrible prejudice (African descendants, Indians, Latin Americans, etc.) are in reality the biggest creditors of this world. In other words, all the wealth accumulated by the core economies of the world was built upon the sweat and the blood of those people. What the song proposes is very clear: that this debt must be paid at any price and immediately.

4) Estúpido e Podre Homem Branco Cristão (Stupid and Rotten White Christian): This song precedes the horde's very creation. It was written even before the minting of the name Brutal Morticínio. We can say this song is the essence of the band. The lyrics are much more poetic than necessarily engaged and is based on the speech of Guaicaípuro Cuatemoc. I believe it exposes our feelings and ideals in a very clear and direct way. I've noticed during the years after the release of the song that Christians, Fascists and the like started to hate us even more, which was very rewarding, because even these fool beings were able understand the meaning of the lyrics and thus the ideals of the band. When referring to the rotten white Christian we aren't only criticizing the catholic institution and Christianity in general. We're also depreciating what has been imposed as a standard, the ideal/model of western society.

5) Embarcações da Morte (Death Vessels): It's an instrumental track, where we try to depict all the agony and distress of those who came to our continent unwillingly. The slave ships (Translator's Note: also known in Portuguese as "Tumbeiros", something similar to "Tomb Ships") represented the vilest form of colonization of our country and continent; we should have the revolt in our genetic code. The crossing of the Atlantic Ocean done with those floating infernos was without any doubt the major crime committed by the refined white lords for the sake of profit.

6) E a Morte Triunfa... (And Death Triumphs...): It's a pretty direct song, too. We tried to reflect and expose the contradictions that were imposed to us. The irrationality of a system that clearly keeps in power an incompetent/individualistic gang which has its back turned to the native populations and to the cohabiting with the environment. We've been apathetically conducted through a life of burden and grief, without the need to even consider the magnitude of this, while the illustrious citizen at the core of this decayed and rotten economy lives a life of luxury, as his wealth hadn't been forged from the blood and labor of hundreds of thousands of people, like us in the periphery of the world.

7) Batalhão de Extermínio (Killing Battalion): This is our point of view about the recolonization of our continent planned by the Yankees. The free area of the Gueros would be restricted to their goods, that is, it would be a free pass to barbarity in our continent, becoming the killing battalion of our environment and culture. It may look like conspiracy theory, but American imperialism tries at any cost to transform America in a big Puerto Rico, just look at the experiences in Paraguay and Colombia. An interesting fact to reinforce this is that, at the exception of Canada, the Yankees interfered in all the countries of our continent, and that's why resisting the death platoon which comes with the label “Free Area” is so important.

8) A Longa Noite dos Corvos [Civilização Cristã] (Long Night of the Crows - Christian Civilization): In this song we try to depict what was left of Civilization and barbarity in our America. The long night of the crows that await patiently for everyone to die and rot so that they can feast on our corpses. It's our present and the crows are inside the churches, as well as in all levels of representation of the state.

NR - Brutal Morticínio is currently preparing their second work named "Espíritos Obsessores das Florestas Austrais" (Obsessing Spirits of the Austral Forests), which will be released in November.

Diverse meanings can be found in this evocation of the "Obsessing spirits of the Austral Forests", although all of these meanings aim a sense of diabolical persecution, an enduring harassment, a continual preoccupation and the fixed idea of fighting the "flock" hypocrisy!

What can we expect from it?

BM-This album will bear a more melancholic sonority, and it might be more aggressive and at the same time colder than "Rise of the Jackals... Autumn of the Peoples". This reflects our more actual Depressive Black Metal influences and also shows a sound identity which is very akin to our recent lyrical themes.

NR - What's the crucial theme of the album?

The album is inspired in the destruction of the Amerindian world and the locus of resistance that haunts the continent since the past. However it was and still is systematically gagged in History. The preparation of this second album had a little bigger research regarding the lyrics, especially when related to the mythology of the native peoples of Latin America. We had the option talk only about the tribes who lived in the Southern portion of Brazil, but we decided to talk about all these peoples because we believe in the identity of a strong a united Latin America, sharing the common aspects of our culture.

NR - Artwork?

With the cover picture we tried to depict the idea of melancholy of our Austral forests, which are increasingly less dense by the way. The aforementioned picture was taken by us, members of the band; however there will be other elements which will be highlighted by the artist. The final art will be in charge of our friend André Rodrigues who also participates as the drummer of the band in our celebrations, besides being one of the drummers to record some of the songs in the album.

NR - Any firsthand news?

We’ve had some setbacks during the recording of the album, because we had changes in the lineup. We had to readapt some of the songs to our new/old style of the band again as a trio; new arrangements to make things sound really true, but also that reflected the real feelings of the horde. Everything requires time, but we believe we'll be able to release the album within the planned schedule.

There is the opportunity of a re-release of the album "Rise of the Jackals... Autumn of the Peoples", with two new songs as bonus tracks. I still can't assure you 100%, but this re-release is very likely to happen very soon or maybe at the same time as the new album.

NR - Knowing that you'll soon be in many concerts, and also for those who don't know the band, what can a fan expect from a live act of Brutal Morticínio?

BM - During our live sets we try to show all our aggressiveness, hatred and melancholy towards a world that is so unfair, hypocrite and controlled by the capitalist Christian vipers. The ones who watch the show can certainly expect a lot of sincerity in what we do, for we sing and play only what is absolutely true for us. The crowd can be sure they'll not be facing a theatre, because there aren't interpretations on our stage, they'll just witness the desperate howls of somebody who misses an unknown past of rites for so long forgotten, but which endures in our resistance.

NR - A last opportunity to preach your words... Feel free to express in the following lines everything which fulfills your "soul"!

BM - Firstly we want to thank, in Brutal Morticínio's sake, everybody in HeavyHardMetalMania, especially Nuno for the opportunity given to the horde. We hope to have clarified the max out of our points of view about our black art.

When we deal with such a delicate subject like the affirmation of Latin America, it doesn't mean our fight against any kind of imposition or domination of people over others is restricted to here, but indeed in any part of the world! The affirmation of Latin America, in this case, but also of any marginalized culture, is necessary for the destruction of the opinions forged by the elites of yesterday and today. Theses incoherencies always end up being widespread by common sense. We take the historical responsibility of not shutting up, let alone bowing, but yes to make questions and destroy the idea that the natives weren't numerous and that there wasn't any resistance; ideas that have long been diffused by the history of heroes/positivists and erased by the so called revisionist history (new cultural history/post-modernism).

Brutal Morticínio believes that Metal, especially Extreme Metal, is transgressor by nature (since its ancestors like Blues and Rock). It must keep on transgressing, crossing boundaries, criticizing not only religious dogmas, but also cultural and social ones. Besides that, it must continue to deal with forgotten subjects, be it by society, or be it even by some Headbangers!

It's always a pleasure to answer/talk to zines/blogs/websites which really respect the Underground scene, or that really try to get further information and consequently extract the max of the essence and what the horde represents and is proposed to do, and this is the case. We also want to wish strength to all collaborators at HHM, as well as we wish that you keep following this way of quality and honor. HHM is certainly for all bangers, not only for Portugal and Europe!
