On Friday, September 21, extreme progressive metallers MALEVOLENCE unleashed in straight cooperation with DECIBEL MAGAZINE (USA) the first single from upcoming 3rd full length effort ANTITHETICAL.
One week later (Friday, September 28) MALEVOLENCE advanced the audio single S L I T H E R I N G available via PUREGRAINAUDIO (CANADA) for direct download under exclusivity (here).

S L I T H E R I N G represents a very conceptual and intense view addressing the radical eradication of all the spiritual and impious structures slinking over the Earth. On a daily basis an artistic demonstration of free will and non-conformist expression towards the insignificant mentalities that generate defilement. Those commonly understood as the foundations of truth using the language of contradiction to attract and conquer above weakness and depression all over the place. S L I T H E R I N G is the ultimate insubordinate statement addressing the “art of war” against such deceitful principles. The fragmented worldwide paranoia must be reenergized by individual will – ability - knowledge and inner perception. An episode showcasing the power of knowledge versus faith!  A radical audio (visual) installment representing the modern times clashing with the old/dysfunctional system of hypnotizing values.

The 1st (ever) official MALEVOLENCE VIDEO for the upcoming album ANTITHETICAL will be unleashed during the next weeks.

BEYOND THE MORNINGLIGHT: LIBERATION When the gloomy art is expressed

Runar Funeralheart and Andy Amin, two old friends that together shared a vision, that vision was Beyond the Morninglight and now it’s a passion, a strong bond between two friends united by rock and roll. Beyond the Morninglight aren´t the usual rock band, they spread the dark sound of Norway influenced by its depressive atmosphere that creates the perfect environment for the gloomy/doom and melancholic music. Despite this feeling of sadness and loneliness getting hold of us, the welcoming, warm and beautiful melodies make you reach emotions that sometimes are sleeping inside of you.

Liberation” is the name of BTM new album and since their last work they really have matured and their creativity has taken a new step towards their growth. This release is about the cycle of life, the life of a man in all its glory that loses control and enters in a sea of solitude till the end of his time and the fading of the light.

Runar Funeralheart singer and lyrical poet leave us caught up in his story, the way he can express his feelings and emotions and his deep, calm but sordid voice elevate the music to a higher level, full of energy.  Is quite evident that the environment of his dark home (Norway) influence his whole being, with its vast landscapes and winter sky and all the energy that surrounds the silent and vast nature.

Daniel Vrangsinn (Carpathian Forest, Vrangsinn, Misantrof) was the producer, mixer and engineer of BTMLiberation” and his touch contributed for the best expansion of the work and emphasized all the emotions in this story creating a journey you must experience.

From Norway, some warmer sound, yet colder and darker than ever.

Their new album titled "LIBERATION" is a milestone. An artistic milestone. The band's creativity really blossomed, crafting this superb concept album, based upon the downfall of a young man in his prime, all through his decadence, until his end, and the dyed black day of his funeral.

The story is told as seen from the eyes of Runar Funeralheart, singer and lyricist of the band, who really feels all the life, all the air, all landscapes and all the death surrounding him, and can transform all those sensations into little creatures he likes to take care of, like children to feed, watch over and grow up into massive songs, so full of energy, soul and deepest emotions.

Extremely influenced by those grey winter skies of Norway, with those silent vast lands inspiring loneliness and melancholy, Runar and Andy of Beyond The Morninglight simply reach a deeper, also higher, level of introspectiveness. Their creativity is Norwegian air breathed in and released back out in form of gloomy melodies, endless mellotron driven sensations, dark atmospheres, and such a shrouding feeling never felt before.

The final twist, came from the contorted visions of Daniel Vrangsinn (Carpathian Forest, Vrangsinn), who managed to inject some further cold blood inside the veins of this doomy opus, bringing the sounds to its best level, offering you a deeper journey into the process of releasing the pain, the end of suffering, the final Liberation.

Runar, states, talking about this last effort: “The lyrics is what really takes the toll on me... I have to write and rewrite for weeks in solitude to get in whatever state to bring the shit. But people seem to enjoy them, they seem to connect somehow”.

Recorded in the obscurity of Misantrof Studios during 2011/2012. Produced, Mixed and Engineered by Daniel Vrangsinn and Beyond The Morninglight. Cover artwork by Daniel Vrangsinn. Band Photos by Eyla Evertsen Da Gama.

Worm Ouroboros "Come the Thaw" Pre Order

Worm Ouroboros have always existed as a sum of many parts – many influences, many affiliations, many moods. Drawing threads of inspiration from a wide range of styles and genres, this trio of doomed souls weave together a gorgeous tapestry of sound, splashed with shades of neofolk, dark ambient, chamber music, post-rock, folk, atmospheric doom, and progressive rock. Graced with the myriad talents of Lorraine Rath (Amber Asylum, The Gault) on bass and vocals, Jessica Way (Barren Harvest, World Eater) on guitar and vocals, and Aesop Dekker (Ludicra/Agalloch) on drums. The San Francisco, CA-based project has received heaps of praise from countless press outlets for their masterful debut as well as their sporadic but weighty live performances. Come The Thaw is their second release and the first to grace vinyl. A gauzy, ethereal piece of delicate darkness and gentle gloom; it is that rare album that dwells upon the outer edges of heavy metal, yet possesses enough raw power and beauty to coax both the metal faithful and those who prefer lighter fare under its spell.

Colored vinyl is limited to 125 transparent grey records and available only from the Flenser. All distributed copies will be black. Comes in a gatefold jacket with gorgeous artwork by Lorraine Rath

Cradle of Filth streams Manticore

Cradle of Filth have gone on to become one of the UK’s most successful metal acts, known for their dynamic symphonic style of gothic black metal, along with the dark poetic lyrics from the hand of enigmatic front-man Dani Filth.

This time, Cradle of Filth has posted the track Manticore for stream. The track appears at upcoming album The Manticore & Other Horrors’ whit release date on Oct. 29th (Europe) via Peaceville Records and October 30, 2012 (North America) via Nuclear Blast USA Check out below.

Recorded in eight  weeks at both Springvale and Grindstone studios (where it was also mixed by Scott Atkins), Suffolk, the album is testament to the longevity of The ‘Filth, as not only does it reek of Cradle’s (feared or revered) brand of delicious metal vamperotica, but this thoroughly modern album places the band firmly in fresh killing fields anew.

Singer Dani Filth had this to say on the new album:

‘This is our tenth commandment in metal. We have diversified and kept alive the spirit of this band and breathed it into something that I can proudly say, slays like an absolute motherf**ker. The Manticore is coming… Long live the filth!’

For the first time, KELLY will be joined on these shows by cohorts Noah Landis and Greg Dale as SCOTT KELLY AND THE ROAD HOME, bringing his dark Americana to fruition on stage in a whole new way, as they did on the new album.

The action begins this Saturday in San Francisco and play through Oakland, Fullerton and Los Angeles, with opening support from YOB frontman Mike Scheidt.

Stream the title track to the new album “The Forgiven Ghost In Me” via Decibel Magazine’s blog RIGHT HERE.

Dissimilar to his previous solo outings, on The Forgiven Ghost In Me KELLY sought out additional musicians to help create his vision for this release, recruiting good friends Noah Landis (Neurosis) and Greg Dale, forming SCOTT KELLY AND THE ROAD HOME. Additionally, Jason Roeder (Neurosis, Sleep) and Josh Graham (A Storm Of Light, Neurosis) make guest appearances on the album. These additional instrumental and vocal contributions add incredible new dimensions to KELLY’s foreboding tales. The eight tracks were recorded by Landis, the album running deep with over forty minutes of foreboding Americana showcasing the ever-evolving artist brandishing some of his most expressive hymns of pain, reflection and redemption to date

“I don’t believe in heaven, I believe in pain, I believe in fear, I believe in death” i.e. Torn The Fuck Apart`s The Dissection Of Christ

The super gore Torn The Fuck Apart death metal band released past April 2012 their latest album “The Dissection Of Christ”. The presence of the brutal sound which we are used from their past works is inevitable, pure death metal, pure chaos unleashed in every note, we really can feel their rage when listening to their blasting music. This work is not for the weaklings especially for those who believe in religion, this is pure hate against Christ. Torn The Fuck Apart give us their side of view with really good statements in which religion is not the path for humankind, in music such as “God´s Blood Turned Black” and “Our Serpent Savior” there are affirmations from the movie Religulous said by Bill Maher: “plain fact is religion must die for mankind to live” and “Faith means making a virtue out of not thinking”. If you want to know more you have to see the movie. They also use references such as the game Max Pain “I don’t believe in heaven, I believe in pain, I believe in fear, I believe in death”, they use the “miracle” scene in Pulp Fiction movie to mock those who believe in miracles, and other strong references but the funny part is to find those lines scattered in their music and guess where you have heard it before.

When I hear Torn The Fuck Apart I remember of the deathcore band killWhitneyDead that also transmits their messages trough important movies sentences, the good cultural taste in junction with furious death metal convey an image of intellectuality and knowledge that shows that metal isn´t for people who only headbang to loud music, metal is much deeper than that.
